Blizzard Achieves Victory Against Spammers

If you’ve ever been trying to get to your mailbox in Ironforge/Undercity, only to have your way blocked by a level 1 dwarf/orc saying “Buy Gold! Best Gold ever! Come get your gold here!” then it’s likely you’ll be pleased to hear that Blizzard successfully had the practice stopped.
The whole article can be found here.
I’ve always found the practice of buying and selling virtual gold interesting. Some games have been purposely ingrained with a currency meant to be converted into $USD such as Second Life, while others like Warcraft have barriers set up to prevent converting your money into in-game currency. Regardless I think this is goign to be an on-going issue with any MMO game. Obviously it’s against the spirit of most MMOs to be able to buy your way to the best gear, accomplishments, etc. but it’s definitely not surprising that this occurs.
I suppose some people have more money than they do time.

Back in 1991. A game called Sonic the Hedgehog was made…and it’s greatness! Ever since I first played this game I still play it all of the time! The gameplay is amazing! It started a whole series that is still popular today! The graphics are stunning for its time, and I still enjoy them! Certaintly the best game on the Genesis(only serpassed by its sequels.) Buy this game! You won’t regret it.
